We are a growing club with 50+ members. Sunrise Kiwanis is a diverse organization representing a cross-section of business and professional members of our community. The club is well known in our community for it's service projects which represent the combined efforts of all our members to make these projects a success. Our Motto is "We Build" and we believe that we can best live up to that motto by being active in each of the community service projects that the club sponsors. Many benefits come to us as individuals and to our community by participation in the club's projects and activities.

Boo It Downtown
Submitted: Wed, 11/18/2009 - 09:53 —Sunrise Kiwanis participated for the third year in Boo It Downtown. More than 400 books and other educational materials were distributed to children pre-school thriugh fifth grade. Over 1200 books have been given to area children over the past three years.
Annual Day In The Park 2009

AKTION Club is Charted for Goldsboro

· To provide these adults an opportunity to develop initiative and leadership skills.
Sunrise Kiwanis Participates in "Boo It Downtown"

As in the past Sunrise Kiwanis gave books and other educational materials to children who were pre-school through fifth grade. Below is an excited young person makeing her selection.

Sunrise Kiwanis "Children Priority One" Project

Kiwanis is a golbal organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child at a time and one community at a time. Our mission: To offer service and leadership opportunities to those who desire to serve the needs of children, youth and adults in our communities. One of our programs is "Young Children Priority One" and through it sunrise Kiwanis has donated a substantial amount of baby and young mothers-to-be products to the Wayne County Pregnancy Center of Goldsboro.
