For more than 20 years, Sunrise Kiwanis in tandum with Goldsboro Recreation and Parks Department have sponsored Day-In-The-Park for disabled pople in the Wayne County area during May. Participant come from the public schools, state institutions, and private care facilities. This year the event drew 1100 from the surrounding area.
